First TablaLab prototype app

This is an online app which emulates Indian Tabla and has many features to make it useful for accompaniment, for creating rhythm loops or for learning about various Indian rhythmical compositions. Use the file browser, top right to load a composition into the grid or drag and drop the bols to create your own. Then play…

To use the app click the image above or here.

This is the first version which has bugs but is reasonably stable. I know there are a few bols missing and in fact some of the sounds could do with being a bit more specific. I have some ideas for improvements already.

Please feel free to comment, make suggestions (I’ll start a wishlist) for future amendments and features or send me compositions you’d like to add to the browser. The function buttons at the top centre will allow you to save and load patterns to your hard drive or export the cycle as a wav file.

If you like the app or find it useful please share it to Facebook with the button bottom right on the interface.
